DevOps and Platform Engineer
Own the pipelines, infrastructure, and observability that make weekly shipping safe and boring, the way it should be.
What this role is, in plain terms.
You will own the foundation that lets the team ship every week without fear: the pipelines, the infrastructure, and the observability that make releases safe and boring. You treat reliability and cost as first-class, automate the risky parts away, and make the path from finished code to live fast and hard to get wrong.
What you will own.
- Own build and release pipelines that make weekly, low-drama shipping the norm.
- Run infrastructure that stays up under real load while respecting real cost.
- Build observability, including logs, metrics, traces, and alerts, so problems surface before users feel them.
- Bake security and least-privilege access into every environment and deploy.
- Automate provisioning and recovery so the boring parts stop being risky.
- Lead calmly during incidents, then fix the cause so they do not return.
What the role asks of you.
- Five or more years in DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering for live systems.
- Hands-on experience running cloud infrastructure and automating it as code.
- A mindset that weighs reliability and cost together.
- A habit of automating away toil and the risk that comes with it.
- Calm and clear-headed during incidents, with a bias for fixing the root cause.
Helpful, but not required.
- Experience supporting AI or data-heavy workloads in live systems.
- Background in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Experience standing up observability and on-call practice from scratch.
A clear path in, not a cold start.
What the early going actually looks like.
Map the ground
Audit the current pipelines and infrastructure, and fix one sharp edge that slows shipping.
Harden the path
Strengthen the release path and close the biggest gaps in observability and access.
Own the platform
Take ownership of reliability and cost across engagements, and set the standards others build on.
What the studio offers in return.
- Real ownership of products with real users, not tickets in a queue.
- Teammates you will learn from, and who will learn from you.
- Weekly shipping, so your work reaches people while it still feels fresh.
- Room to go deep on AI, infrastructure, design, or product, as your strengths pull you.
- Remote-first work with a calm, deliberate weekly rhythm.
- Honest feedback and a flat structure, so good ideas win regardless of who has them.
